Deductible Buy-Back

Deductible Buy-Back reimburses the Motor Carrier for deductibles that an Owner/Operator is held responsible for in their Lease Contract. These can include deductibles for Cargo, Physical Damage on Company Owned Trailers and Primary Liability.

Non-Trucking Liability

Non-Trucking Liability (NTL): NTL is 3rd Party Bodily Injury and Property damage coverage that is intended to provide liability insurance to the owner operator who has permanently leased the insured vehicle to a motor carrier and is not using that vehicle for business use at the time of the loss. NTL is often times mistakenly referred to as Bobtail. They are actually two separate coverages and should not be used to convey the same coverage.

Bobtail: As the name implies, Bobtail Liability provides 3rd party Bodily Injury and Property Damage coverage when you are operating with no trailer attached or “Bobtailing”.

Unladen Liability: Unladen coverage provides 3rd party Bodily Injury and Property Damage coverage when you are operating with no trailer attached, like Bobtail, or when there may be a trailer attached but there is no cargo being hauled.

Occupational Accident (Occ Acc) provides Medical, Death and Disability coverages for Owner/Operators. We offer a broad range of limits and Non-Occupational benefits with optional extensions of coverage riders for Casual Laborer (Helpers) and for Passenger.

Contingent Liability: Protects the client motor carrier from drivers who file legal action seeking reclassification as an employee for purposes of gaining access to workers’ compensation benefits.

Contingent E&O: This new coverage form is still tied to the occurrence of an occupational injury being incurred by a covered independent contractor just like other CL forms. However, our policy provides defense and reimbursement for financial damages that could result from a reclassification action not traditionally covered by our competitors.

Workers Compensation: Provides benefits such as medical, death, and disability for employees or those deemed to be employees that are injured or that become ill as a result of their job.

Primary Auto Liability: Primary Auto Liability provides 3rd Party Bodily Injury and Property Damage resulting from an accident in your covered vehicle.

Commercial General Liability: Protects against claims of liability arising from your business pursuits that are not auto related like on premise operations, liable and slander, products, and completed operations.

Cargo: Coverage for damage or loss of goods of others while in your care, custody and control under a bill of lading.

Contingent Cargo: is designed to cover losses for which the insured (usually a freight broker) and their sub-contractor (usually a trucker) are liable for but can’t collect on due to 3 major reasons.

1. The subcontractor insurance policy was cancelled or non-renewed
2. The subcontractors policy limits were insufficient to cover the loss
3. The loss or damage is excluded under the terms of the subcontractor’s policy

Excess Cargo: sits above your primary cargo policy and pays claims in excess of the limits provided in the primary policy for any one loss.

Company Owned Physical Damage: Physical Damage coverage provides 1st party property Comprehensive or Specified Perils and Collision damage to vehicles you own. We write coverage for individuals to the largest fleets. We can offer deductibles from $500 and can go up to large SIR’s or Aggregates. We can also utilize basket deductibles when writing cargo coverage.

Hired & Non-Owned: Liability coverage for auto’s used in connection with the named insured’s business but that is not owned, leased, hired, rented, or borrowed by the named insured.

Umbrella: The umbrella policy serves three purposes: it provides excess limits when the limits of underlying liability policies are exhausted by the payment of claims; it drops down and picks up where the underlying policy leaves off when the aggregate limit of the underlying policy in question is exhausted by the payment of claims; and it provides protection against some claims not covered by the underlying policies, subject to the assumption by the named insured of a self-insured retention.

Excess Liability: Coverage to provide limits in excess of an underlying liability policy. An excess liability policy is no broader than the underlying liability policy; its sole purpose is to provide additional limits of insurance.

Broker Contingent Auto Liability: will pay on a contingent basis all sums the insured must pay as damages resulting from Bodily Injury or Property Damage caused by an accident and resulting from an occurrence sustained by a motor carrier engaged by you to effect delivery of covered property between points within the coverage territory

Broker Contingent Cargo: We will pay on a contingent basis all sums the insured must pay as damages resulting from a physical loss or damage to covered property resulting from a specified peril during the policy period
